HUD Public Housing
Overview
HUD administers Federal aid to local Housing Agencies (HAs) that manage housing for low-income residents at rents they can afford. Likewise, HUD furnishes technical and professional assistance in planning, developing, and managing the buildings that comprise low-income housing developments. This dataset provides the location, building type, and controlling housing authority of developments in the U.S.

building_name | Building name or other building identifier. Not all buildings are named or otherwise identified. | string |
formal_participant_name | The controlling housing authority. Generally a state or local housing authority or commission. | string |
total_units | The total number of housing units within each building. A housing unit is a house, apartment, group of rooms, or single room occupied or intended for occupancy as separate living quarters. | integer |
