HUD Public Housing
HUD administers Federal aid to local Housing Agencies (HAs) that manage housing for low-income residents at rents they can afford. Likewise, HUD furnishes technical and professional assistance in planning, developing, and managing the buildings that comprise low-income housing developments. This dataset provides the location, building type, and controlling housing authority of developments in the U.S.
Name of the housing project the building is a part of.
Building name or other building identifier. Not all buildings are named or otherwise identified.
The controlling housing authority. Generally a state or local housing authority or commission.
The total number of housing units within each building. A housing unit is a house, apartment, group of rooms, or single room occupied or intended for occupancy as separate living quarters.
